Great News – Golf Season is almost here! – Brush off those clubs and get ready to swing!

Golf season is northern Minnesota is just around the corner and winter is officially over. Its time to trade those rakes, shovels and scrapers for drivers, irons and putters.  Take some time to work on your swing and get ready to watch “The Masters” beginning April 7^th to see who will take home the “Green Jacket”. Then it’s off to the first tee here at Lakeview National!

At the Lakeview National we are also in the swing of big changes.  Spring has brought us a new vision and a new set of goals for 2011 and beyond!  We have made a commitment to improve the quality of the property and create an area wide golf facility worthy of the Lakeview National Golf Course title.  We invite you to come see what we have done and what the future has in store for us. We know you will be as pleased and as excited as we are!

Early Bird Season tickets are available at City Hall until April 15^th – Rates for 2011 will remain the same as 2010.

Lakeview National is doing preparations for the 2011 opening.  Depending on the weather, the course hopes to be opening in the next few weeks.

One immediately visible change that you will notice will include the Two Harbors Curling Club who will assume the management of the golf course club house functions including the Pro Shop and the Bar and Restaurant functions. 

We are also very excited to introduce Mr. Tracy Pearson who comes to us from Lester Park Golf Course in Duluth.  He has accepted the challenge of making the Lakeview National the areas finest golf course.  We are sure you will see and appreciate some of the immediate changes to the details of the course. 

We have made a commitment to ensure that the qualities you expect from your course will continue to please and excite you, our customers, our neighbors and our friends as the season progresses.  The best is yet to come, and we’re sure that you will enjoy and appreciate the progress.

Will Rogers once stated that he “never met a man he didn’t like”, and at the Lakeview National Golf Course we’ve never met a golfer we didn’t like!   We invite you to bring us your golf stories because you’re only a stranger here once!
